   Captain Mehdi
   Photographers:
      Tooraj Khamenehzadeh
   25 - 30 December 2004/Aria Gallery / Tehran

What is a ship anchored forever to the muddy shallow waters of a lonely shore?
To the (Almaas's) neighborhood children she is the ultimate point of adventure and fun,
they stealthily get inside to spy on the old inhabitant.
To the passers by she is a curious floating hut sheltering an old man. But to the old man,
Captain Mehdi, she is everything and more. He still lives with her, and
with his cats living the dream of the days they were both young and strong
and enjoyed cruising in the big blue.
